All returns must be postmarked within 15 days of package receipt in order to qualify for exchange or store credit. All returned items must be in new, unused, and unwashed condition. Please note that when returning items on which you have received a discount/offer, that discount/offer will no longer apply if you fall below the discount/offer threshold. Please understand that shipping fees cannot not be credited. ABOUT US POLICIES CALENDAR CERTIFICATIONS CERTIFICATIONS Organic cotton:Our Tee shirt material is Oeko-Tex & GOTS/EKO Standard certified. Indigenous Indian Cotton: We are helping to promote the growth and use of Indigenous Indian cotton that requires much less pesticides and water than the commercial variety found in most places. Farmers farm them in small lots, harvest the cotton themselves, spin, weave and dye the fabrics in their villages. Hand woven: Our hand woven fabric is certified Craftmark India. Please note : Minor variations in color and texture of the fabric can occur. This is inherent to the handmade quality. An irregular weave is not a defect but a reflection of the human touch. Dyes: We try to use as much natural dyes as possible. Our chemical dyes are non toxic, azo free dyes. Fair Trade: We are in the process of obtaining Fair Trade certification. We work with co-operatives, women’s empowerment groups and non profits who are compliant with Fair trade standards and aim at sustainable partnerships that improve the living standards of artisans,
 
ARTISANS DESIGNERS ORDERS Wherever possible, we will attempt to consolidate multiple orders in one shipment and on one invoice. Any additional orders placed on the same day will be consolidated. PACKAGING In our efforts to be “green”, we try to recycle and use gently used packaging materials as much as possible.
 
 
ABOUT US After 8 years of specialization in Textile Design from 2 of the world's top Design Schools, (NID, India and, ENSCI, France) Karthika Audinet went on to acquire 15 + years of international experience in textile design and education.   In her quest for meaningful design, Karthika has worked with villagers in remote villages as well as at exclusive Design Studios for top end clients in Europe and U.S.A. In 2007, the World Bank recruited Karthika as a consultant to work with disadvantaged and disabled artisans in Cambodia. This was the turning point in Karthika's life. She realized that it is not enough to design. The challenge is to design and market the products made by the artisans she works with. In 2008, Karthika founded Designers and Artisans, a  socially responsible company that promotes, nurtures and sustains traditional hand crafted textile techniques, combining subtle French chic and exquisite fabrics to create and market limited editions of apparel and accessories.
